Dreamscape I

Crafted with care, this watercolor illustration of the waters' edge of a still lake is the artist's attempt to share how he experiences aphantasia, or a lack of visual imagination. Unable to craft clear mental images, "Dreamscape" is a visual reconstruction of the artist's fading memories of a grove that is only accessible in dreams, fading back into incomprehensible darkness upon waking. A glimmer of metallic copper pigment illuminates the treeline in sunlight like the last beam of autumn sun through a canopy. 

This painting measures approximately 11.5"x10.5" and ships flat, unmounted and unframed.
