Feast and Glory, Watercolor and Ink

This 12" H x 18" W watercolor and ink artwork on paper depicts a skeletal and spawning morph salmon and two pairs of acorns in an oak branch frame, all elements of the rich bounty of river ecosystems in early autumn. Bears often bury fish under trees to feast on layer, and decomposing fish subsequently fertilize oak trees throughout the season.
