Where The Light Comes Through

This 12"x18" watercolor and wax crayon illustration won "Distinction" in June 2025 in Gallery 4%'s open call Pride contest, showcasing the full spectrum of color and texture in one vibrant view. Textural contrast from rough wax crayons and soft watercolors made from natural pigments take the viewer to the edge of an open grove as the sun draws long across the foliage, inviting the viewer to peek through the treeline and step into brilliant sunlight.
